A company called SecureIX is offering a free VPN service which allows you to hide your IP address from peers in a BitTorrent swarm or P2P network. Not only that, the service also encrypts and tunnels your data, making it extremely difficult for your ISP to sniff or shape it.

GameStop/EB is selling GameStop brand Wii component cables for $49.99, while they are listing the $29.99 Nintendo brand cables as being on preorder! I’ve been to several stores; not a single one had the Nintendo brand ones (supposedly not even in their system) but they all had the GameStop brand ones! This is price gouging, plain and simple!

Amarok 1.4.5 has just been released. This version adds some long requested features: A shoutcast stream browser and support for user defined labels (aka tags). The developers have already started to work on the next major release based upon Qt4/KDE4, which is going to run on Linux, OSX, and Windows!
