Video card giant AMD announced the release of new Linux drivers for it’s popular line of video cards yesterday. The new drivers, Linux Catalyst 7.10, provide updates and features for desktop effects and gaming.

In an interview with The Guardian, Will Wright confirms that Spore, the god game dealing with species evolution, is being made for the Nintendo Wii. In February, executives from EA confirmed that it was being made for the Nintendo DS too. He talks a little bit about the Wii and DS, and says that he loves Advance Wars. Nice.

The minimum requirements for Apple’s OS X Leopard are an 866Ghz G4 processor and 512MB of RAM. I happen to have an aging but still nice 1Ghz Powerbook with 768MB of RAM. Loading Leopard on it should tell us just how accurate those minimum specs are.
